Comic Con Day 2

Well Maven and I just made our way back to the hotel to rest up before our line standing adventure tonight.

We went got into the Flash Forward panel, with great seats, courtesy of Jo who held a place in line for us. Saw previews of the FF pilot. It looks REALLY good. Saw some parallels with the LOST pilot, but I won't give it away. The directors and producers seem to be going about making FF very similar to LOST in that they are putting in a lot of easter eggs and with an ongoing ARG type thing. The panel included the 2 main producers, the director, and for the cast was: Joseph Fiennes (from Shakespeare in Love), John Cho (from Star Trek), Courtney B. Vance (from Law and Order/ Hunt for Red October), and Christine Wood (?). The whole thing was moderated by Jeff (Doc) Jensen, who did a very good job. Towards the end they showed a small clip with Sonya Walger (Desmond's Penny) poking fun at Comic Con, followed by one more clip that revealed Dominic Monaghan as a new main character...then out came Dom. Sounds like he will probably be doing some more cameos on LOST this next year (although he didn't really confirm that), but FF seems to be his new permanent gig. So while we may see Charlie Pace again, doesn't sound like he's going to be back as a full time character.

Rumor has it that Dom may also be the "special guest" for the LOST panel tomorrow, so we'll see! We're going to catch some zzzzz's (we hope) and head back downtown to spend the night in line for the panel tomorrow morning. We know we'll get in, but just not sure how coherent and alert we'll be! Hopefully the adrenalin will kick in at the right time!
